The progress of Armenia’s digitalization reforms and their role in enhancing economic competitiveness and transforming public services.
On May 26, 17:30, WTC Yerevan hosted a Catalyst talk with Nerses Yeritsyan, Chairman of the Information Systems Regulation Commission, presenting the progress of Armenia's digitalization reforms and their role in enhancing economic competitiveness and transforming public services. The presentation outlined the trusted digital infrastructures being established by Armenia including digital identification, electronic signature, data interoperability, data governance, cybersecurity, and unified digital platforms which aim to reduce the administrative burden on businesses, lower transaction costs, and make service delivery faster and more predictable.
The presentation also addressed the development of digital services based on "life events," the first practical example of digital transfer of vehicle ownership, as well as the growing role of the private sector in the context of PPP, GovTech, cloud, AI, and data-driven service development. The speech presented Armenia's vision for building a secure, interconnected, and competitive digital economy.
