
On April 16, 17:30, WTC Yerevan will host Anahit Avanesyan, the minister of Health, RA. The discussion will focus on the first 100 days of Universal Health Coverage reform, offering a timely look at what has changed so far, early results, and initial public response.
The session will further explore on the current state of Armenia’s healthcare system, covering ongoing challenges in access, financial protection, and equity. It will highlight key reforms undertaken to modernize service delivery, strengthen primary care, and improve system efficiency and quality.
The discussion will explore how these reforms contribute to human capital by improving health outcomes and supporting a more productive population. It will also look ahead to future directions of the reform, including system sustainability, digital integration, and evolving service delivery models.
The panel will conclude with a focus on the introduction of Comprehensive Health Insurance reform as a central step toward expanding coverage, strengthening financial protection, and ensuring equitable access to essential health services.

On March 17, 17:30, WTC Yerevan hosted Lea Hakim – a Lead Economist, Europe and Central Asia, World Bank.
Armenia experienced strong economic growth in 2022–2023, driven by temporary factors. As these fade, the focus shifts to sustaining growth by addressing structural barriers. The talk focused on competitive markets, trade, and investment climate shaping Armenia’s next growth phase.
Léa brings 20 years of experience advising governments on economic policy issues in macroeconomics, fiscal policy, economic growth, and debt management. Léa served in the Office of the Minister at Lebanon’s Ministry of Finance working on macro-fiscal policy and international capital market issuance. She holds an M.A. in International and Development Economics from Yale University, where she was a Fulbright scholar.

On February 26, 17:30, WTC Yerevan hosted Juan B.Frigerio – an architectural leader with an outstanding portfolio of award-winning landmark projects and Partner for Foster + Partners in Latin America.
Juan led the award-winning Buenos Aires City Hall, which has become an architectural icon for the city. Juan joined F+P London in 2000, after postgraduate studies at Harvard Design School and working in Buenos Aires, New York and Boston. He worked extensively in the design of Wembley National Stadium. Juan has also recently started the design of F+P’s WTC Yerevan Mixed Use development in Armenia. He is a frequent Speaker in events on Sustainable Architecture and Urban Design.
